PRESIDENT/CEO
ARTHUR ZAYAS MILLER
From a young age, Arthur had a deep appreciation for hard work, community, and family. He was raised by his tenacious mother on Chicago’s South Side and accredits her for much of his success. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, he founded MZI Group Inc. in 1999 – making way for his true passion to grow into an industry leader in Telecom, Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Infrastructure, Utility Projects, Design Build, Building Services and more. MZI has begun focusing on green initiatives by supplying EV charging and solar infrastructure.
As President and CEO, Arthur believes success is firmly rooted in his community and the people he surrounds himself with. He takes his role as CEO/President very seriously knowing he is responsible for his employees and their families. Arthur’s commitment to the community, and drive for excellence, has made it a core value for MZI to be an innovative organization, while delivering world-class service to its customers. He has fostered a culture of integrity, family, and safety that he believes is vital to the success of MZI as it continues to grow.
He also has a passion for philanthropy and has committed close to half a million dollars to worthy causes over the course of the last 5 years alone. MZI has built a reputation for providing a comprehensive turn-key choice for even the most complex challenges, while making it a priority to foster mentorship, community engagement and giving back.
Arthur is a board member on the National Latino Education Institute, Chicago United, Hispanic American Construction Industry Association, Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Loyola University Health System, and National Association of Veteran Owned Businesses. When Arthur is not working (which is rare) one might catch him on the golf course or enjoying family time with his beloved wife and daughter.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
KIM NELSON
Kim Nelson is the Managing Director and has been with MZI for over 15 years, she comes from a background in transportation and has held many leadership positions since joining MZI in 2008. Kim is responsible for facilitating business growth, and development, as well as the management of the MZI team and culture. She has been a driving force to keep MZI at the forefront of innovation while managing relationships and strategic growth opportunities.
She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Organizational Corporate Communications. In her free time, Kim is a Board Member of Women Energy Network. Philanthropy has always been her passion, and she works closely with the Foundation for Prader-Willi to support research for a cure. Kim is married with two children and enjoys golf whenever she can fit it into her busy schedule. She counts the parks and local restaurants as her favorite part of Chicago.

VITO LOISI
Vito Loisi currently serves as MZI’s Chief Financial Officer, he began his career at the prestigious Ernst & Young as an auditor moving up to Tax Supervisor. Next, Vito went to The Marmon Group as a Tax Manager, then became partner at BKD (formerly Wolf & Company) where he played an integral role in the Construction and Real Estate Group. Vito joined the MZI team to be a part of MZI’s remarkable growth and is motivated to help organizations to succeed.
He attended the University of Illinois and studied accounting before earning his master’s degree in Taxation from DePaul University. When Vito is not working, he challenges himself on the golf course. Vito draws inspiration from the diversity, creativity, and energy that only the Windy City offers.
CONTROLLER
CLARISSA COLLETTI
Clarissa Colletti is the Controller, she is responsible for supervising financial reporting, re-aligning MZI’s financial processes and procedures while utilizing best practices this includes payroll and Union reports. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Denison University.
Clarissa is a part of The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). Her free time is spent with her two daughters as well as working on her art. Some of Clarissa’s favorite things about Chicago include the beaches and the variety of restaurants.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
MORLEY RUSHFORD
As Executive Vice President Morley is a key leader in MZI division operations and in the development and delivery of strategic growth opportunities. He joined MZI in 2018 and has been instrumental in initiating and overseeing MZI’s diversity into the telecommunications field. With over 20 years of experience and 19 years with IBEW, Morley’s deep knowledge of the industry has fortified MZI as a leader in telecommunications.
Morley serves various charitable foundations; he has been a member of Illinois State Wireless Association and NATE for over a decade, he is also on the leadership council of Chicago United and Middlestate and the IGGSF Charity Committee. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, and playing golf.

JOSHUA A. FREED
As the director of Safety, Josh Freed has over 20 years of experience in occupational safety and health. He began his career as the Safety Director for a company specializing in the construction and maintenance of electrical, telecommunications and oil and gas pipeline infrastructure. Josh worked as a construction and manufacturing consultant on a corporate safety program and led a team of safety inspectors to a successful completion of a five-year, multi-state, crude oil and refined products pipeline infrastructure project. Immediately, before hiring on with MZI, Josh was employed as a Safety Coordinator under the direction of the Army Corps of Engineers over electrical, telecommunications, plumbing and mechanical contractors on a national disaster project.
Josh graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety & Health, with a focus on safety engineering. He is also a Safety Academy graduate from Clemson Universities College of Architecture Arts and Humanities. Josh actively advocates for continuing education in industry leading research and standards. He is a devoted husband and dad to two young sons. “I couldn’t be happier to be working in my hometown and for a company dedicated to the well-being of our employees and the community we serve.”
VICE PRESIDENT OF MECHANICAL
RAUL ROMERO
Raul joined MZI Group in October of 2018 as the Vice President of MZI’s Mechanical Division. He has over 20 years of experience in the mechanical contracting. He has held an array of different positions in the mechanical industry and brings this considerable expertise to foster the development and management of projects and contracts for MZI.
Raul has a bachelor’s degree in business from Loyola University. In Raul’s free time he enjoys going on vacation and golfing.
SUPERINTENDENT
IGOR KUTLIC
Igor Kutlic was appointed Director of Building Services and has been with MZI for over a decade. He is a certified project manager and is receiving his electrical inspector certification. Igor attended electrical school in Zagreb, Croatia and completed his college education in Belgrade, Serbia. Upon moving to the United States, Igor attended the IBEW union school in Chicago.
Igor is very motivated by his family and loves to be productive and involved in any process that involves critical thinking. In his free time, he enjoys activities with his children such as soccer, music lessons, dance and basketball. For Igor, Chicago means Lake Michigan, the skyline, museums, and sports stadiums. He is an active member of the Illinois DNR and Serbian club, “Krajisko Prelo.”
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
JAZMIRA BOTA
Jazmira Bota joined in MZI in 2021, she is the Marketing & Communications Manager and is working to build awareness of MZI Group as well as foster our relationships with the many organizations and charities MZI has partnered with over the years. She has a diverse background within Communications, Marketing, Training and Employee Development. She comes to us from KPMG where she worked within consulting, technology innovation and communications and streamlining processes.
Jazmira attended DePaul University where she graduated with a degree in Business Management Driven by her passion for giving back to her community, she joined MZI to do just that. When she is not working you can catch her out exploring new places the city has to offer and if she can she brings her dog along.
SAFETY MANAGER
ROBERT STEWART
As Safety Manager, Robert Stewart monitors and enforces all company safety policies and procedures, provides technical advice to field and office personnel, as well as serves as a resource to project teams. He works with the team members to address specific project safety needs and aids with the investigation of any accident or incident. He conducts weekly jobsite inspections and maintains all required job safety records including all jobsite safety audits.
Over the years Robert has held various roles in the safety industry from advisor to auditor. Robert attended Joliet Junior College and began his career at ComEd.
DIRECTOR OF TELECOM
DOUG HIRSCH
With over 20 years’ experience in the Telecom industry, Doug began his career as a tower technician, with the IBEW apprenticeship program in January of 2000, working across all major carriers. Doug joined MZI in July of 2018 working various roles from Field Foreman to Sr. Project Manager. In 2022 Doug was promoted to Director of Telecom and he continues to bring his passion for growing and developing the MZI Telecommunications division. With a dedicated team he has achieved new heights driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world through our unrivaled technical expertise and innovation.
When Doug is not working, he loves spending time with his 2 daughters and working on his golf game.
HR MANAGER
ANEL CASTENADA
Anel has over 18 years experience as an HR professional, with a unique background focusing on Human Resources within the service and construction industries. She is a results-focused leader who delivers talent acquisition, retention and motivation solutions that help companies harness the full power of one of their most valuable assets – their people. Anel joined MZI Group in 2021, where she has continued to create and innovate HR processes.

Ray Coggins
Ray Coggins is the Director of Operations, with a wealth of experience in large-scale project planning, management, operations, and sales within the telecommunications and wireless engineering and construction sector. With a robust track record spanning over 20 years, Ray excels in orchestrating and executing complex projects, demonstrating expertise in operations, installation, implementation, and more. Notable accomplishments include opening new markets, securing key contracts, and generating substantial additional revenue.
Throughout Ray’s professional journey, roles such as Regional Program Director, Regional Director of Wireless Operations, and Program Director have honed their analytical prowess and exceptional planning skills. He possesses a remarkable aptitude for identifying key opportunities and devising innovative solutions to resolve challenging business issues, continually propelling organizations toward growth and success. This wealth of experience, combined with an unwavering commitment to excellence, positions Ray as an asset to MZI.
